CHAMBERED CAIRN |
|||||||||||||||||||||
The south-west end (on the right in the photo), resembling a round cairn, is 2.5m high. It was probably the first stage of construction of the elongated cairn. At the opposite north-east side traces of two projecting 'horns' are still visible. A similar cairn (Cnoc Freiceadain South) lies a few metres to the south. The two cairns are set at right angles to each other. In care of Historic Scotland |
