site was built in three distinctive burial phases. In the first one an ellipse
of ten stones was erected, with a small rectangular stone enclosure at the
centre. Then four stone cists were constructed. The south-east one had a
side slab (now replaced by a cast) decorated with cup-and-ring markings.
In the last phase the circle was covered by a cairn and several cremations
were inserted into the mound.
After excavation in 1970-71, the site was reconstructed about 110m south-east
of its original position. In care of Historic Scotland
