Anti-War Protest - SMC214
This is one of the many anti-war protests that took place in late 2002 on the steps outside St Magnus Cathedral. The protests were against the potential war with Iraq and involved local people and groups from different backgrounds.
The protests were part of a national anti-war campaign organised by the 'Scottish Coalition for Justice Not War' and the 'Stop the War Coalition'.
The protests were silent and lasted from one to two hours. They attracted upwards of 30 people. This photograph shows the protesters and the west end of St Magnus Cathedral in the background.
