Sundial - SMC202
This is an old sundial that is now stored in the south triforium of the nave of St Magnus Cathedral. It has the date 1840 carved into it.
A sundial was originally mounted on the south side of the parapet. The mounting place can still be seen.
The sundial was used to correct the time on the Cathedral clock.
