The Mackie Watson scheme: The Bronze Doors - SMC116

George Mackie Watson's scheme for the restoration of St Magnus Cathedral was chosen over two other architects' schemes in 1908.

The Bronze Doors shown in this picture may have been an aspect of his scheme which was abandoned due to financial restraints. The bronze doors could also have been discarded due to public concerns of over restoring the Cathedral.

The bronze doors would have been situated in the west entrance.
