St Veronica Stained Glass Window - SMC108

CThis stained glass window of St Veronica is located in the north clerestory of the choir. Veronica is depicted as a slim young woman who carries a Holy Shroud that shows the face of Christ.

Veronica is supposed to have been present at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. She wiped his face with a cloth and an imprint of Christ's face was left on it.

Like many of the windows in St Magnus Cathedral, it was created by Oscar Patterson in the 1920s.
