Genealogy of the Norse Earls - SMC082

A set of five genealogical tables, or family trees, of the Norse Earls can be found on the wall of the south choir aisle of St Magnus Cathedral. The tables were compiled by John Mooney.

Table A shows the descendants of Earl Rognvald Eysteinson of Möre. Table B shows the descent of St Magnus from King Malcom II of Scotland. Table C shows the descent of Earl Hakon from the Royal House of Norway. Table D shows the kinship of Icelandic and Orcadian Saints. Table E shows the family connections of St Magnus and Earl Hakon with King Magnus Barelegs.

These tables were published in John Mooney's 1935 book 'St Magnus Earl of Orkney'.
