Crear McCartney - SMC038
Crear McCartney was born in 1931 and attended Glasgow School of Art in the 1950s. He was influenced by his tutor, Walter Pritchard, but by the early 1960s had developed his own style.

McCartney has a style in which bold, bright floral and plant motifs are predominate. The best example of McCartney's style can be found in the Church of Scotland, Auchtermuchty.

Recently, McCartney has created several major windows for important historic churches in Scotland. These include St Michaels, Linlithgow and Holy Rude, Stirling. He also created a window for the 850th anniversary of St Magnus Cathedral which can be found in the west façade.
