Video of Winding the Clock - SMC200

This is a video of the St Magnus Cathedral Clock being wound. The mechanism of the clock is in "Cowper's Ha'" in the tower.

The clock is wound every working day and requires approximately eight turns. It is the duty of the Cathedral stone mason to wind the clock.

It is also sometimes necessary to correct the time of the clock as it can be up to ten seconds fast each day.
