Harald Hadrada Stained Glass Window - SMC105
Located on the north wall of the north transept is a stained glass window of Harald Hadrada. He is depicted as a Norse warrior holding an axe in his right hand and a spear in his left.
Harald Hadrada was King of Norway from 1047-1066. He died at the battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066. He was accompanied in battle by Earls Paul I and Erlend II of Orkney. Both earls survived.
This is one of the many windows designed and installed in the 1920s by the studio of Oscar Patterson.
