Hampden Queue

Hampden - Queue of fans awaiting European Cup Final Tickets

These fans are queuing for tickets to see the European Cup final of 1960, between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt. 127,621 fans paid to see this game, although thousands of others are thought to have gained entry. The final itself is considered to be the best European final ever.

The Champions League final of 15th May 2002 did not witness scenes like this due to modern credit card ticket booking and a much smaller stadium capacity.
