Ferenc Puskas

Puskas of Real Madrid trains at Easter Road

Ferenc Puskas played 84 times for his country Hungary, scoring 83 goals, an international record that still stands. He defected to the West in 1956 and signed for Real Madrid in 1958. He became top scorer for the Spanish champions, forging a formidable partnership with Di Stefano, culminating in their seven goal tally in the European Cup final of 1960, with Puskas scoring four, to Di Stefano's three.
